Vague status report:

• Still alive. Little bit of health badness going on but everything mostly more or less works.
• Still working as a software tester. My job is currently going through Politics (oh joy!) and has relocated to an inconvenient location, so the current choice is whether to move ( Read more... )

So this is my first proper day of life as an unemployed person.  It feels weird. Everyone else is out at work, and it's hard to feel that I shouldn't be too.  Call it protestant work ethic guilt or something.

So, two days into Nano, and I've already decided that even attempting it this year was verging on suicidally stupid.  I mean, I move out of my highly cluttered flat in mid-December and put my stuff into storage, and then leave the country for a year on the 28th to basically vagabond it round the world.

... I have just been to a concert.  Group called the Mukenkyo Taiko Drummers, & they were absolutely outstanding.
